English: "Samfaina" is a Catalan accompaniment containing eggplant, courgette, onion, red pepper, Italian green pepper, chopped garlic, grated tomatoes and sometimes a small quantity of typical Catalan herbs as chopped parsley, thyme or rosemary. Vegetables are lightly fried in olive oil. Here in the photo it is served with a fillet of tuna fish.
